Agronomy Applicator

SUMMARY This position is primarily responsible for operating spraying and spreading equipment in accordance with delivery tickets. Must be self-motivated, team player, that has the ability to work independently with a proven ability to be proactive in completing work and problem solve. Safety is a priority! All tasks must be completed in a safe manner following established safety procedures, at times with little supervision.  This is an hourly position and compensation will be based upon experience. This position requires extended work hours during peak seasons, including weekends.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Assist in the service and maintenance of machinery

  • Work with precision ag equipment and keep accurate data

  • Work closely with management to communicate ideas on how to make improvements  

  • Working knowledge of agronomy facility operations including experience handling chemicals, fertilizers and other inputs

  • Ability to adapt and be flexible to meet time constraints and customer demands  

  • Able to read and follow detailed directions and learn new skills as required

  • Positive Customer-Service oriented interpersonal and communication skills required

  • Understand and comply with ALL company, Federal, and State rules and regulations. This includes DOT, OSHA, Drug Testing, and Vehicle Maintenance Programs.  

  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Must have Applicator license or ability to obtain shortly after hire. Experience operating heavy equipment and mechanical experience in either the agriculture, farming, military, construction, or other relatable industries is preferred, but not required.

 

Truck Driver

 

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for driving diesel powered tandem and triple axel or tractor trailer combinations to transport and deliver grain or agronomy materials in liquid, loose, or packaged form by performing the duties listed below. Safety is a priority! All tasks must be completed in a safe manner following established safety procedures, at times with little supervision. Compensation is based on a percentage of the revenue the truck earns and the percentage rate is based upon experience. This position requires extended work hours during peak seasons, including weekends.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Must be physically qualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle as demonstrated by a current medical examiner’s certificate (Medical Card)
  • Must have a clean driving record that would not preclude being insured
  • Safely operate trucks as needed to deliver products
  • Ability to climb in and out of the truck and onto various parts of the truck and trailer
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time
  • Must be able to roll and unroll trailer tarp
  • Must be able to communicate with dispatcher in a polite manner and be able to understand new load instructions and directions over the radio
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip daily vehicle inspections
  • Observe and report equipment or mechanical issues immediately to the appropriate personnel
  • Load Sheets are to be completed in their entirety and turned in daily
  • Manage routes and routines to maximize efficiencies.  This includes continually monitoring traffic and road conditions.
  • Operate equipment in a manner to obtain efficient gallons/miles ratio
  • Assist in loading and unloading trucks
  • Driver is responsible in keeping their cab and semi clean and presentable for hauling. Including washing the tractor and trailer between certain hauls.
  • Greet customers in a courteous manner
  • Attend all Safety Meetings
  • Follow all applicable traffic laws
  • Understand and comply with ALL company, Federal, and State rules and regulations. This includes DOT, OSHA, Drug Testing, and Vehicle Maintenance Programs.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: The ideal candidate will have a current class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement and a valid Medical Card. A work history in the Agricultural industry is preferred.
