History

In almost a century and a quarter of existence, Maplehurst (which was named for the many maple trees which lined the property at one time) has seen unprecedented changes in agriculture, technology, politics, and much else. Here at home, the Maple Hurst Stock Farm evolved from a large grain and livestock farm into an enormous grain, fertilizer, and trucking facility. As with all other things, the caliber of the people who have owned, staffed, and operated Maplehurst over the years have made all of the difference in ensuring its current success.

"I have 240 acres of land out here which some say I own.

I own the right to live on and to use that land.

It is my duty to turn it over to my successor in as good condition as I got it."
