Seasonal Grain Laborer

SUMMARY: This position is seasonal and will average 40 hours per week with the option of overtime through the end of the fall harvest. Must be dependable, hardworking, and a team player. Both night and day positions available.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Load and unload semis hauling grain into and out of grain facility

  • Operate and monitor dryer

  • Run appropriate series of tests on different grain (training provided)

  • Clean the grain receiving area and perform grain facility housekeeping

  • Ensure that equipment is in good working order and the facility is free of hazards

  • Follow all OSHA rules and Safety regulations


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 18 years of age

  • Must be able to perform physical job duties including bending/stooping, climbing ladders, open/close valves, shoveling, and pounding with hammer

  • Ability to climb heights

  • Able to work in dusty environment

  • Must be able to work under special work conditions, such as extreme heat or cold

  • Ability to work overtime

  • Ability to work holidays, nights, weekends or different shifts

  • Ability to lift 75+ pounds

  • Farm experience preferred

Agronomy Applicator

 

SUMMARY This position is primarily responsible for operating spraying and spreading equipment in accordance with delivery tickets. Must be self-motivated, team player, that has the ability to work independently with a proven ability to be proactive in completing work and problem solve. Safety is a priority! All tasks must be completed in a safe manner following established safety procedures, at times with little supervision.  This is an hourly position and compensation will be based upon experience. This position requires extended work hours during peak seasons, including weekends.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Assist in the service and maintenance of machinery

  • Work with precision ag equipment and keep accurate data

  • Work closely with management to communicate ideas on how to make improvements

  • Working knowledge of agronomy facility operations including experience handling chemicals, fertilizers and other inputs

  • Ability to adapt and be flexible to meet time constraints and customer demands  

  • Able to read and follow detailed directions and learn new skills as required

  • Positive Customer-Service oriented interpersonal and communication skills required

  • Understand and comply with ALL company, Federal, and State rules and regulations. This includes DOT, OSHA, Drug Testing, and Vehicle Maintenance Programs.  

  • Other duties as assigned

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Must have Applicator license or ability to obtain shortly after hire. Experience operating heavy equipment and mechanical experience in either the agriculture, farming, military, construction, or other relatable industries is preferred, but not required.

 

 

 

 

Seasonal Agronomy Truck Driver

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for driving diesel powered tandem and triple axle or tractor trailer combinations to transport and deliver grain or agronomy materials in liquid, loose, or packaged form by performing the duties listed below. Safety is a priority! All tasks must be completed in a safe manner following established safety procedures, at times with little supervision.  This is an hourly position and compensation will be based upon experience. This position requires extended work hours during peak seasons, including weekends.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Safely operate trucks as needed to deliver products to application equipment in the field

  • Read gauges or meters and record quantity loaded and unloaded

  • Assist the equipment operator with filling and other needs to help maximize actual application time throughout the day

  • Operate equipment in a manner to obtain efficient gallons/miles ratio

  • Assist in loading and unloading trucks

  • Perform basic clean-up, preventative maintenance on equipment, and light mechanic/shop work

  • Assist in maintenance and cleanliness of facility, equipment, and grounds

  • Operate all machinery and equipment as required

  • Greet customers in a courteous manner

  • Understand and comply with ALL company, Federal, and State rules and regulations. This includes DOT, OSHA, Drug Testing, and Vehicle Maintenance Programs.  

  • Other duties as assigned

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: The ideal candidate will have a current class A CDL license with a Hazardous Material Endorsement. Have working knowledge of agronomy facility operations including experience handling chemicals, fertilizers and other inputs. Applications without Hazardous Material Endorsement will be considered if you have the ability to obtain the endorsement shortly after hire.

 

Agronomy Applicator
